The winner was crowned in the latest live show.
After weeks of laughter, tears, twists, and unforgettable moments, the Big Brother Mzansi season 5 journey came to its epic conclusion in the final live eviction show. In one final check-in, the remaining housemates stood tall – no longer just housemates, but finalists whose stories had captured the hearts of the nation. Before the spotlight turned to the ultimate reveal, Biggie’s voice echoed through the house one last time. His emotional farewell was a tribute to their resilience, growth, and the bonds they formed in the most extraordinary of circumstances. It was a moment filled with gratitude, reflection, and hope – a gentle closing of one chapter, and the start of something new.
But then … it was time. The moment we’d all been waiting for. The business of the evening: crowning the season 5 winner
Evicted housemates:
Jojo was the first housemate to be evicted tonight, becoming the fourth runner up of the Umlilo season. Nate soon followed her in a dashing dress and an even more dashing personality. Nsuku was the third and the last woman standing to get evicted from the house and joined Smash Afrika on the stage for the first time time this season. Sweet Guluva and Uyanda were the top of the evening, but ultimately, Sweet Guluva was crowned the winner of Big Brother Mzansi season 5.

What did they say on stage with Smash Afrika?
“We are going to the club,” was the first thing Jojo told her homeboy, Smash Afrika, they’d be doing when she goes back home. "I didn’t win the R2-million, but I made it to the top 5, and I’m a two-time HOH winner,” Jojo said. Her double HOH wins were the highlights of her season. Nate, on the other hand, says the free kisses were definitely her highlight of the season. When Smash Afrika asked her if she loves the spotlight, she replied, “The spotlight loves me.”§
Nsuku was on stage for the first time and expressed how excited she was to meet the fans. Her biggest highlights in the house were being herself and the cuddles she shared with Muzi-TheMbuzi. “To be honest, I never had beef in the house; I just understood that there were clashes of personalities,” she told Smash Afrika when asked if she had any conflicts with anyone.
Sweet Guluva and Uyanda were super grateful and proud of how far they have come in the game. With tears in his eyes, Sweet Guluva could not put words together to express his emotions after watching his journey video.
Last memorable words:
“Based on the game, personality and strength, I don’t know who Sweet Guluva is, but I know who Uyanda is, so I am gunning for Uyanda,” Nsuku said.
