As anticipated, the legendary Derby clash between South Africa's football giants, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, drew an impressive crowd of prominent figures and celebrities to the stands. Among those in attendance were siblings and Shaka iLembe stars Nomzamo and Zamani Mbatha.

Interviewed by SuperSport’s football host Hope Mbhele – whom fans will recognised  as Baleka, a passionate healer in season 1 of the drama series – the Mbatha siblings were not shy to share their insights and opinions regarding the highly competitive match. It seems both are loyal supporters.

Bursting with excitement, Nomzamo rooted for Ezimnyama Ngenkani (Orlando Pirates) while her brother, Zamani, proudly supported Abafana Bokuthula Noxolo (Kaizer Chiefs). Talk about putting siblingship aside!

Despite a strong start where Zamani's team scored first, the match ended in disappointment for him, with Kaizer Chiefs suffering a 2 – 1 defeat to Orlando Pirates.

In the highly anticipated new season of Shaka iLembe, which starts on Sunday 15 June at 20:00 on Mzansi Magic, Nomzamo reprises her role as Queen Nandi, the striking and courageous mother of the legendary leader, Shaka kaSenzangakhona (played by Lebogang Tsipa). Nomzamo's involvement in the series goes beyond acting, she also serves as the executive producer.

Zamani is set to make his mark on the show as Nomahlanjana, son of the formidable ruler of the Ndwandwes and Shaka's rival, King Zwide, portrayed by Wiseman Mncube. In his role, Nomahlanjana emerges as a fierce warrior, driven by an intense desire to gain his father's favour and prove himself as a dominant force within the Ndwandwe kingdom.

Fans can look forward to season 2 of Shaka iLembe, which promises to deliver even more action, drama, and suspense.
