It was never going to be easy but our four Married at First Sight Mzansi couples committed to a journey that requires resilience and vulnerability. The question remains: will they ride the wave?
Our four couples are now deep into the most romantic phase of this journey, the honeymoons. These should be love-filled but drama tagged along.
Is’thembu entered the chat
Tshepo and Palesa left the audience beaming at how perfect they are for each other, and it seemed it would only get better … until the honeymoon. Tshepo shot himself in the foot by revealing his admiration for Is’thembu, much to Palesa’s disappointment. The rest of their romantic spa date turned sour, and regret set in.
“Know when to stop”
Themba’s past traumas jumped out at the sight of Nelisa drinking alcohol and he couldn’t resist the urge to speak up. Nelisa profusely denied that she drinks too much but appreciated the opportunity to grow and openly communicate about it. This further proves that you can be in love and still solve matters maturely.
Thabang to the rescue
Multiple issues between Nkululeko and Makoto were lingering, so it was time for relationship therapist and author Thabang Mashigo to enter and unpack. Makoto couldn’t shake the feeling that Nkululeko wanted to change her and this led them to two therapy sessions.
During their second one with Thabang, we saw their connection take a positive turn after the string exercise which focused on understanding each other rather than judging. Not only did they leave this session in a better place, but Nkululeko also dropped the big three words.
Love is still very much in the air. Buckle up and walk with your favourites.
