The new year has unleashed more drama on Champions. Previously, the telenovela indulged us with a power fight between Bra Phil, played by Tumisho Masha, and Snesipho played by Jo-Anne Reyneke. The uncle and niece combo fought over the reign of the Soshanguve Giants, which is a soccer club that belonged to Sne’s father Washington, a character that was played by Sello Maake Ka-Ncube.
Bra Phil had succeeded in fooling everyone into believing he had good intentions for the club, while the only thing he wanted was to cash in after selling it to the crooks. Thanks to his son Mthokozisi, played by Aphelele Shezi, his plans never saw the light of day. Things took a wrong turn when his business partners turned on him and spilled his secrets, including the one about having killed his brother, Sne’s father.
