Samora's hatred for his father comes to a head when he plants the murder weapon he used to kill his mother, in his father's car and sends an anonymous tip off to the police. Ma E is arrested in front of his shocked family.

Ma E gives Lihle and Mike his blessing to be together after finding them snogging in the office. However, their beautiful romance is short-lived as Mike is killed by gangster, Caesar shortly after finding out the truth about Samora murdering his mother.

MaE and Bridget want Mothusi dead after they find out about his affair with Refilwe. However, just as Mike is about to pull the trigger, Lihle comes and begs him not to do it but much to her disappointment when she finds out about his latest infidelity and serves him with divorce papers in her car.

Themebelihle starts suspecting Mike of killing her mother on her father's instruction. However, later she saves his life from a gunfight with Caesar and romantic sparks fly between them.

Mike strikes a deal with Caesar to turn on Ma E in exchange for a 30% stake in her business but he double-crosses her and proves his loyalty to Ma E.

Thembelihle comes clean to Samora and tells him that she is pregnant with Tshepiso's child after their affair but she will not tell Samora the turht and she is shocked by his reaction. Just as Lihle tries to get Mo in bed to pin the pregnancy on him, Bassie storms through the door and reveals the whole truth.

Thembelihle is convinced Xola is living a double life and her instincts are proved right when they found out the truth about her. Lihle thinks she may have killed her mother but she reassures her that she did not.

After missing her birthday, Mpho goes to find Samora at his art gallery but things turn sour and he ends up killing her, although it is not yet clear why.
